In 1905, 2 years before Oklahoma became a state, oil was discovered on the Glenn family farm just south of Tulsa. Thus, Tulsa became the “Oil Capitol of the World.” The discovery of oil was known as Glenn Pool, for which the Tulsa suburb was named and tagged “The Town that made Tulsa Famous.” Today, the city of Glenpool is a beautiful commuter town for Tulsa.
Glenpool High School offers senior internships, Pre-AP and AP classes, honors courses, and college credit through Tulsa Community College.
